The new year has started… have YOU?!

True confessions….
OK, it is the 11th January and I have YET to start my New Year routine…. I thought if I confessed a few more of you might fess up as well. However, the really important part is what to do about it? Are those goals and plans really important to you and me?

The classic interpretation of how to change says there are two basic states, either the pain gets so great as to force a change or the desire for the end result is so strong you feel you have no option.  Do either of these fit for you? Is either the negative push or the positive pull working for you? In both cases the situation is usually quite extreme and life isn’t always that black and white.

May I suggest a third option? A curiosity and interest to explore the adventure! The ‘end result’ might be achieved; however the journey along the way to its culmination will be good in and of itself. And knowing the wonderful richness of life something better may come up along the way. Must keep those doors open!

What will I do? I will start with teeny steps, 5 minutes of exercise is better than none and knowing me, if I do 5 minutes I’ll be so enjoying myself, I’ll want to continue. Same with my music – pick up that guitar, hold it, pring the strings, find a favourite song and see if the chords are not too difficult!

JUST DO A BIT!!!

Let’s check back in two weeks with each other – please tell me any nifty ways you have found that helps you help yourself to do what you want. Best of good fortune to you!

Reflections!

The ‘in between time’ is great for reflecting on your past year and planning what you would LIKE for 2015.
Make a random map of all the aspects of your life, group them and then start to create what you want!  Here is an example you could use as a template:
