How to bounce back better than before

Chi Chat – how to bounce back from a total life wipe-out

Vanda was interviewed by Patricia Muir about how to bounce back from a total life wipeout.

So many people are suffering some level of change, disruption and unhappiness in their lives.
It is very easy to get stuck in this mode.

How to bounce back – better than before!

When all the cornerstones of your life are removed at once

Sometimes you can sail along and think things are going quite well.
I had a thriving company that I had built from scratch, with a wonderful global network of associates;
a life partner with whom I shared a life passion; my remaining relative, my Mum, lived with me 6 months of the year in Palm Beach; my health was very good and I was living my dream life.

Suddenly my company had an aggressive takeover, and I was forced to close, loosing everything.
The worst part was the staff that relied on me and who were my ‘family of choice’ being made redundant.
Then my partner’s secretary called and said I could collect all my belongings from a local hotel!
My Mum also became unwell, and later died – and I had a birthday with a ‘0’ in it!

I viewed my landscape, now without any cornerstones, creating a great void.

To find out what happened next and the great lessons I learned, make yourself a cuppa and sit for 30 minutes as Patricia asks me all about it!

Keep Joy inside you

Chi Chat – what difference would Joy@Work bring to you?

Joy@Work is a concept I have promoted for years… and now! Yes! It seems to be catching on,
here is an article about how joy at work helps us to do better work, AND it feels easier, not harder!

Joy does NOT mean being airy fairy and grinning all the time. That might be the immediate end to any work, let alone Joy@Work!

Joy expressed!

Joy does mean feeling a solid bubble of contentment, calm, confidence, caring, clear headed, collaborative, can-do, complementary, communicative, credible, cheery, connected, and cooperative.

Working and living with joy in your heart and mind helps you through the difficult times.
It also can share strength to others who may be suffering.
It may be a difficult or sad time, and your face should reflect this. However, in your heart/mind you hold on to your JOY!

Joy inside!

Most of all, it really helps to boost your resilience. Increases your bounce-ability.
And it provides a font of energy to keep you well topped up.

May we suggest you notice what things bring you joy – it is often the small every day things.
Build up a conscious awareness and appreciation for them. Ask others. ‘What brings YOU joy?’ and add to your collection as appropriate.

Hearing from you would bring us MUCH joy!!
