Try a little lovin'

Chi Chat – Try a little lovin’

February, known as the ‘month of love’ is upon us again.
Chi and I would like to explore this with you, and encourage you to ‘Try a little loving’!

Do you remember the FIRST time you ‘fell in love’?
How amazing even ordinary things seemed?
Stop for a moment and have a multi-sensory re-experience if that time:
Who was it? When was it? How did you feel? What did you do? What did the world look like?

LOVE IS ALL IN YOUR MIND!

YES! You can create, or diminish, that feeling – it is started in your brain.

And the first, and most important person to love, is YOURSELF!
Think: if you don’t love yourself, how easy will it be for anyone else to love you?

This year, try a little loving’ of YOURSELF!

How to try a little lovin’ on yourself?

Start with a loving’ myself inventory:
What are my strengths? How well do I care for myself? How do I think of myself?
And what would be some simple things to do increase the self-worth/lovin’ inventory?

Then, what are some special treats you might give to yourself?
A walk in nature; a long bubble bath; listen all the way through a favourite piece of music; squirty cream on a hot chocolate or time with a friend?

Send out the lovin’ vibe

How about imagining yourself cuddled in a big heart – you are love its-self.
And with your brain/heart you beam forth love to all.
Try this just for a while’ wear a smile; share your love; send it out through your eyes –
and just watch what happens…

Try a little lovin'

Chi and I send boundless love and joy to you!

Chi Chat – are you dyslexic?

Are YOU dyslexic? Current statistics say 1 in 5 of us are!

Most of us were never diagnosed at school, we just knew we were a bit ‘special’.

When I compare my lifetime with my old school friends, it has certainly been quite different! How about you?

What was school like for you? Did you get told off if you dared to daydream in class?
By the way, it was a daydream that inspired Einstein’s theory of relativity and his awareness of e = mc2 – not shabby company! And what about being asked to read out loud to the class? HORRORS??

One of the tricky things about dyslexia is that one size does not fit all. There is a wide spectrum of wiring shifts in the brain which create different patterns.

And how are you at seeing patterns? What about needing the ‘big picture’ to create a frame, so all the details may have a place. This is why a mind map is such a perfect tool for dyslexic.

Chi Chat – Are YOU dyslexic?

Last week I was interviewed by Jazzy Olive from the Falmouth University and Bryan Clark plus her fabulous students: Oli Betteridge; Vaishnavi Deshpande; Charlie Sewell; Ridhi Nedungadi; Dan Stark; Kalina Surma – about having a ‘hidden disability’ or in my eyes, Ability! Following, over the next weeks, are their questions and my responses.
This first one is about how I have managed with dyslexia. Finally, it builds to a new product… Keep tuned!

Please let me know your dyslexic stories

How low will you go?

Chi & I look forward to seeing / hearing from YOU!!!
